The CITIC Plaza was invested by KUMAGAI SMC Development (G.Z.) Ltd., which is an HK sole corporation. Founded in July 1993, it was the tallest building in Asia when completed in April 1997. Now it is still the tallest steel and concrete building across the globe. The Plaza owns a main building, which is so simple, elegant and modest that it has gained appreciation from the industry and our clients. It was awarded the “National Silver Model Project Applying New Constructing Technology” by the Ministry of Construction as well as the “National Best Quality Engineering Silver Medal”.

Covering 23,000 square meters, the CITIC Plaza has an overall floorage of 320,000 square meters. The main building is an 80-storey office building, which is 391 meters high. The commercial building is a complex of catering, shopping and entertainment, consisting of 4 floors of shopping center and an international entertainment club in the fifth floor and covering a total floorage of 40,000 square meters. The serviced apartment comprises two 38-storey buildings, which was creatively designed as two stretched wings, making the Plaza alive.
